Islamic Medical Association of North America Expands Footprint to D.C. Area

HİKMA has over 50 years of experience saving lives and providing vital aid through disaster response, provision of basic health care to underserved communities, development programs and knowledge transfer. The organization’s medical missions have provided timely and effective aid for the sick and injured in over 30 countries, while the many hospitals, basic health units, clinics and collaborative projects that HİKMA supports provide a continuum of care to the most vulnerable populations.

While its headquarters will remain in the Chicago metro area, the DC-area office will allow the organization to strengthen its relationships with existing partners, like the ADAMS Center, and build partnerships with new organizations and physicians committed to making a difference in their communities and around the world.

HİKMA is at the forefront of providing international medical relief in the wake of ongoing threats to health care and humanitarian crises. As COVID-19 cases surged in India this past April, HİKMA spearheaded a campaign to provide essential aid, including the sourcing and deployment of medical supplies and equipment and supporting COVID management programs in India.
